Men's Basketball Takes Region Win Against HACC, 71-51

Lincroft, NJ - The Brookdale men's basketball team took the Region XIX contest from the Hawks of Harrisburg Area Community College, 71-51. Sophomore forward Jahmere Calhoun led the way offensively with 26 points and 13 rebounds.

The Blues led at the half, 35-30 and took control of the game in the middle of the second half, outscoring the Hawks, 36-21. Freshman guard Randi Sutton netted 12 points as freshman guard Jordan Smith debuted with 11 points. Freshman forward Tyler Hawkins dished seven assists and collected seven points.

With the win, the team improves to 10-7 and will next take on the Owls of Union County College at home on Sunday, January 20th at 1pm.
