Zachary Olukanni Buckets 20 Points; Brookdale Thrives Under Pressure For The Win Against Union
Lincroft, NJ- Freshman guard Zachary Olukanni hit the lay-up that put the Jersey Blues men's basketball team up by one to win the game against the Owls of Union County College, 83-82. Olukanni totaled 20 points for the night.

Brookdale had five players earn double-digits on the offensive end of the court. Sophomore forward Sky Harris had 17, sophomore shooting guard James Wright tallied 13 and sophomores Kerry Kirkwood and Jordan Little each put up 10 points. Little also grabbed 11 rebounds.
The team took a two point lead at the half and traded points back and forth in the second half until taking a 10 point lead. Brookdale let Union back in the game and they took the lead with little time remaining in the game. With just over 30 seconds left on the clock, Olukanni drove in the go-ahead bucket and Brookdale won the game on a defensive stop.
With the victory, the team continues their win streak and improves their overall record to 17-8, 13-4 in conference play. The Jersey Blues will next play the Blue Colts at Middlesex County College on Thursday, February 9th at 7:30pm.
