Steady Defense And Quick Offense Gives Brookdale Edge Over Passaic CCC
Lincroft, NJ – The Brookdale men’s basketball team picked up a key victory on Saturday afternoon as they defeated the Passaic Panthers 86-75. Passaic entered the game 19-2 overall, an undefeated 17-0 in Region XIX and 13-0 in the GSAC.

Lincroft, NJ – The Brookdale men's basketball team picked up a key victory on Saturday afternoon as they defeated the Passaic Panthers 86-75. Passaic entered the game 19-2 overall, an undefeated 17-0 in Region XIX and 13-0 in the GSAC.
Brookdale took an early lead and never looked back, establishing a lead as high as 16 points in the first half. Sophomore forward Sky Harris led all scorers with 28 points while freshman guard Zachary Olukanni added 17. Freshman forward Terra Gatling recorded a double-double, netting 10 points and grabbing 10 rebounds for his first home appearance while sophomore point guard Kerry Kirkwood dished 10 assists. Brookdale splits the season series with Passaic after falling at Passaic on Dec. 6 and they give the Panthers their first region and conference loss of the season with the victory.
The Jersey Blues improve to 11-6 overall and 9-4 in the GSAC. The team returns to action on Sunday when they take on UConn Avery Point. Tip-off at Collins Arena will be at noon.
