Brookdale Breaks Through Cumberland Dukes, 84-57 After Second Half Spurt
Vineland, NJ- The Brookdale men's basketball team broke free from road woes and defeated the Dukes of Cumberland County College, 84-57. The Blues powered past a close two point first half and dropped 51 points in the second half.

The energy spurt from Brookdale in the second half catapulted the lead for the win. Sophomore forward Sky Harris highlighted the offense with a double-double, netting 22 points and pulling down 13 rebounds.
Sophomore point guard Kerry Kirkwood also double-doubled with 16 points, 10 rebounds and added five assists. Freshmen Zachary Olukanni and Matthew Ringel contributed 11 points apiece while Keishawn Kirkwood registered 10 points.
The team improves their overall record to 7-6 and will return to their home court on Sunday, January 8th to face the Skylanders of Sussex County Community College beginning at noon.
