Road Woes Continue For Jersey Blues; Drop Two Games This Weekend
Rochester, NY- The Pete Pavia Memorial Tournament held this weekend at Monroe Community College will be anything but memorable for Brookdale. The Jersey Blues dropped both games this weekend. On Saturday, Mohawk Valley defeated Brookdale 76-65 while in the consolation game on Sunday, it was Lackawanna's turn as they edged out Brookdale 75-70.

Rochester, NY- The Pete Pavia Memorial Tournament held this weekend at Monroe Community College will be anything but memorable for Brookdale. The Jersey Blues dropped both games this weekend. On Saturday, Mohawk Valley defeated Brookdale 76-65 while in the consolation game on Sunday, it was Lackawanna's turn as they edged out Brookdale 75-70.
The Jersey Blues came into the weekend on a two game skid and were hoping to bounce back with a win. Their two opponents, Mohawk Valley Community College and Lackawanna College had a different plan and both defeated Brookdale this weekend in back to back games. Brookdale had the lead at halftime in both games but were unable to close out either game.
In Saturdays loss, the sophomores carried the bulk of the offence for the team. Shooting guard James Wright had a team high 23 points and four assists. Center Jordan Little dropped 17 points while grabbing 12 rebounds and turning away three shots. Point guard Kerry Kirkwood chipped in with 14 points, six boards and four assists.
In Sundays loss, sophomore Jordan Little led all scores with 21 points. Fellow sophomore James Wright and freshman Keishawn Kirkwood each chipped in 11 points.
The losses drop Brookdale to 6-5 overall. They will look to re-group as they head on the road Thursday, December 15th to take on Ocean County College beginning at 5:00 pm.
