Brookdale Pulls Away From Middlesex For Conference Win
Edison, NJ- In a close conference match-up, the Brookdale men's basketball team took the lead with seconds to go in the game against the Blue Colts of Middlesex County College, 75-72. Freshman guard Kerry Kirkwood knocked down a two-point shot inside the foul line to put the Blues ahead. Kirkwood also got fouled and swished the free throw to clinch the victory.

Brookdale was down by nine points with three minutes left to go and made a run to go up by one. With thirty-five seconds remaining on the clock, the Jersey Blues made a defensive stop, forcing the Colts to use up the shot clock. Brookdale went on the offensive to win the game.
Sophomore guard Mason Jones lead the team in points, dropping 22 points. Sophomore forward Dillon Salva totaled 21 points while freshman center Jordan Little double-doubled, pulling down 13 rebounds and scoring 18 points.
The team improves their overall record to 17-7 and will travel to Bergen Community College on Tuesday, February 9th to face the Bulldogs at 7:00pm.
