Brookdale Baseball Silences The Bergen Bulldogs, 12-1

Lincroft, NJ - The Brookdale Jersey Blues baseball squad silenced the Bergen Community College Bulldogs by clinching a 12-1 GSAC victory.

Sophomore pitcher, Christan Simonsen (3-0), took over the mound with 12 strikeouts while giving up only two hits after 23 batters in 7.0 innings. The Blues sophomore catcher, Shane Andrus, led in RBI's with three while hitting 2-for-3 including a triple. Freshman, Jacob Ramirez, posted a home run in his 2-for-2 at bats for two RBI's, and center fielder, Declan Sheehan, added two RBI's as well.

Brookdale is 21-4 and will continue their three-game series against the Bulldogs at home on Saturday, April 5th, at 12:00pm.
