Edison, NJ - Brookdale baseball won their first game of the doubleheader, 9-1, and lost the second, 4-2, but won the series 2-1 against the Middlesex College Colts.

Edison, NJ - Brookdale baseball won their first game of the doubleheader, 9-1, and lost the second, 4-2, but won the series 2-1 against the Middlesex College Colts.
Sophomore Tyler Spencer (4-1) won on the mound in 7.0 innings with six strikeouts, allowing just two hits. Freshman center fielder, Declan Sheehan, had another big day as he pegged a three-run homer and sophomore catcher, Shane Andrus, joined the home run club while adding a double for his 3-for-5 at bats. Posting additional RBI's a piece were freshman shortstop, Justin Lopez, with a triple, sophomore first baseman, Richard Kernan, and freshman Casey Gardiner.
In the 4-2 loss, sophomore DH, Malik Little Jr., batted 1-for-3 with a huge two-run homer to help the Blues.
Brookdale will host the Atlantic Cape Community College Buccaneer Club Team on Sunday, March 23rd, at 12:00pm.
