Cranford, NJ - The Jersey Blues remain hot after knocking down the Union College Owls in their double-header, 12-1, 9-6, to sweep the three-game series.
Crushing two home runs with six RBI's a day prior, sophomore right fielder, Nick LoVarco, continued to lead the Blues with an additional homer and a double for four RBI's. Sophomore first baseman, Rocko Brzezniak, followed LoVarco's lead, batting 5-for-5 with a triple and a double for three RBI's. Sophomore winning pitcher, Ryan Cole (7-1), took the game in 6.0 innings with eight strikeouts.
It was freshman John Goodes (2-0) who won game-two on the hill in 4.2 innings and six strikeouts. Freshman center fielder, Devon Smith, led in hitting with two doubles for four RBI's.
Brookdale stands at 34-4-1 and will face the Raritan Community College Lions next on Wednesday, April 24th, at 4:00pm.
