Lincroft, NJ - Brookdale baseball took game-one of their series against the Union College Owls, 17-1, with the help of sophomore right fielder, Nick LoVarco, smashing two homers for six RBI's.
LoVarco added two doubles in his 4-for-5 at bats as well for the Blues. Freshman center fielder, Devon Smith, posted five RBI's off of his 3-for-3 times at the plate, including two doubles, and sophomore catcher, Lucca Limeira, went 2-for-4 with a double for three RBI's. Undefeated freshman pitcher, Jake Burt (8-0), went 6.0 innings with seven strikeouts.
The Jersey Blues (32-4-1) continue their series on the road against the Union College Owls on Saturday, April 20th, beginning at 12:00pm.
