Brookdale Captures The Delaware Phantoms In Two Game Sweep
Lincroft, NJ - The Brookdale Jersey Blues gained two more wins after capturing the Delaware County Community College Phantoms with scores of 26-2 and 26-0.

Lincroft, NJ - The Brookdale Jersey Blues gained two more wins after capturing the Delaware County Community College Phantoms with scores of 26-2 and 26-0.
Freshman pitcher, Vinny Zaffarese, got his first win on the mound as a Jersey Blue after completing 4.0 innings with zero earned runs and five strikeouts. In the batters box, sophomore right fielder, Nick LoVarco, pushed home six RBI's in 5-for-5 at bats, including a homer, three triples and a double. Sophomore second baseman, Nick Colbert, deposited another five RBI's after his triple and double, and sophomore DH, Dan Cowles, mirrored Colbert's hits for four RBI's after 2-for-4 times at the plate.
In game-two, sophomore, Edison Gonzalez, pitched 4.0 innings with one strikeout to earn his first win of the season for the Blues. Bats were big in the 26-0 win as freshman catcher, Shane Andrus, went 6-for-6, including a triple and a double for seven RBI's. Sophomore third baseman, Rocko Brzezniak, was 5-for-5 with four doubles for four RBI's, and freshman center fielder, Devon Smith, hit 4-for-5 with two doubles for an added four RBI's.
Brookdale (25-4) travels to Randolph, NJ, to face the CC Morris Titans on Tuesday, April 9th at 3:30pm.
