Bethlehem, PA - The Brookdale Jersey Blues baseball team took game one of their three game series against the Northampton Community College Spartans, 7-3.
Freshman Jake Burt (5-0) was huge on the mound for the Blues with zero earned runs and nine strikeouts in 7.0 innings pitched. Sophomore first baseman, Ryan Cole, batted 3-4 including a double for an RBI, and sophomore shortstop, Hunter Serrano, had 2-for-5 hits and an RBI for the Blues.
Brookdale (21-2) will host the remaining two games of the series against Northampton CC on Saturday, March 30th, beginning at noon.
