Brookdale Baseball Nukes The Cumberland Dukes

Vineland, NJ - Brookdale baseball notched two more wins on the season after downing the RCSJ-Cumberland Dukes for a current record of 15-0.

Freshman Jake Burt got his fourth win on the mound for the Blues in game one with 3.2 innings pitched and one strikeout. Sophomore third baseman, Rocko Brzezniak, bombed two homers for three RBI's, and freshman center fielder, Devon Smith, batted 3-3 with two doubles for another three RBI's. Sophomore right fielder, Nick LoVarco, polished a homer and brought home two RBI's off of his 3-5 at bats, sophomore shortstop, Hunter Serrano, went 1-3 for two RBI's, and Giovanni Sive batted 1-1 for a two RBI double. 

In game-two, it was freshman Aiden Baiard (1-0) who captured the win in the 4th inning after pitching 1.2 inninings. Sophomore pitcher, Ryan Cole, batted 1-3 for an RBI, and Nick LoVarco supplied an RBI after his 2-4 at bats.

Brookdale will finish the three-game series against the RCSJ-Cumberland Dukes at Maclaughlin Field on Monday, March 18, at 3:30pm.
