Brookdale Baseball Catches Camden Looking In 2-0 Sweep
Lincroft, NJ - The Brookdale baseball team caught the Camden County College Cougars looking as they swept past them in 11-0 and 14-2 conference wins.

Lincroft, NJ - The Brookdale baseball team caught the Camden County College Cougars looking as they swept past them in 11-0 and 14-2 conference wins.
Freshman Jake Burt earned his second win of the season with eight strikeouts in four innings in game one. From the plate, sophomore third baseman, Rocko Brzezniak, clobbered a rocket home run with three RBI's in his 4-4 at bats as sophomore right fielder, Nick LoVarco, punched a homer as well, hitting 2-2 in the win. Sophomore first baseman, Ryan Cole, contributed two RBI's off two doubles from his 3-4 trips to the plate, and sophomore second baseman, Nick Colbert, rocked a triple and a double for two RBI's from his 2-3 chances at bat.
In game two, it was sophomore Ryan Cole winning it on the mound after five innings with eight strikeouts. Cole stepped up on the offensive side as well, hitting 2-3 with an RBI. Freshman third baseman, Anthony Martino, plastered a homer with two RBI's, going 2-3, while freshman left fielder, Ryan Schmidt, hit 2-4 including a double.
Brookdale (4-0) plays home again on Sunday, March 3rd, at 1:00pm, against the Luzerne County Community College Trailblazers.
