Brookdale Baseball Finishes Regular Season Strong With Sweep Over Atlantic Cape

Mays Landing, NJ - The Brookdale Community College baseball team finished their regular season strong with double wins on the road against the Atlantic Cape Community College Buccaneers, 5-1, 5-0.
Sophomore DH, John Wade, busted a two-run homer, and sophomore catcher, Darius Troche, joined him with a solo homer to lead the Blues in their 5-1 win. Additionally, RBI singles came from freshman right fielder, Nick Lovarco, and freshman third baseman, Hunter Serrano. Winning pitcher, sophomore, Robert Salvatore (5-3) pitched all seven innings with zero earned runs and five strikeouts.
In game two, it was sophomore center fielder powerhouse, Christian Bauman, who sent a two-run over the fence, as sophomore left fielder, Marcus Johnson, pelted a an RBI double for the sweep win. Winner on the mound, sophomore, Ryan Lasko (5-2), went the seven-inning distance, posting zero earned runs and six strikeouts.
The Jersey Blues await the seeding release this week to determine their next game opponent, location, and time.
