Blackwood, NJ - Jersey Blues baseball earned their fourth win in a row after sweeping the Camden County College Cougars in a conference match-up, 7-2, 17-7. The Blues are currently 5-2 in the region, and 4-2 in the GSAC.

Blackwood, NJ - Jersey Blues baseball earned their fourth win in a row after sweeping the Camden County College Cougars in a conference match-up, 7-2, 17-7. The Blues are currently 5-2 in the region, and 4-2 in the GSAC.
Sophomore catcher, Darius Troche, led the Blues for the win in game one with two RBI's, as freshman center fielder, Anderson Gonzalez (2-3), freshman first baseman, Ryan Cole, and sophomore second baseman, Caleb Carter, each drove in a run. Hitting two hits a piece in the win were, sophomore DH, John Wade and sophomore shortstop, Joseph Lomangino. Sophomore pitcher, Robert Salvatore (3-2) got the win in relief.
The bats got bigger in game two as reliable and consistent sophomore left fielder, Marcus Johnson, went 3-for-4 at bats, adding his 4th home run of the season while collecting three RBI's. Freshman center fielder, Anderson Gonzalez, struck again in the RBI department, adding four this game, and sophomore second baseman, Caleb Carter, notched two RBI's. Putting up some clutch hits were sophomore third baseman, Joseph Lomangino, with three, including a double, freshman first baseman, William Wentz, with a double, and freshman shortstop, Hunter Serrano, with two. Freshman starting pitcher, Edison Gonzalez, earned his second win after facing 16 batters on the mound.
The Jersey Blues (20-5) will finish their three-game series against the Northampton Community College Spartans on Tuesday, April 4th, beginning at 1:30pm.
