Lincroft, NJ - Brookdale had a tough outing in their double loss to the Ocean County College Vikings with scores of 5-4 and 8-2 in conference play.
The 5-4 first game loss wasn't developed until the top of the 7th inning as Ocean scored four runs and Brookdale just couldn't reciprocate. Batters who connected for Brookdale was sophomore center fielder, Christian Bauman, hitting 1-3 with a solo homer. Sophomore catcher, Darius Troche, also went 1-3, pulling in a run with a double, and sophomore 1B/P, John Wade, was helpful in his 2-2 at bats, drawing a double for an RBI.
Game two only produced two runs with best efforts from freshman right fielder, Nick Lovarco, hitting 3-4 to send home an RBI, and sophomore left fielder, Marcus Johnson, with the other RBI.
Brookdale (16-5) will finish their three-game series at Ocean County College's home field on Thursday, March 30th, with a 3:00 pm start.
