Lincroft, NJ - Brookdale Community College baseball swept the Union County College Owls, 10-1, 7-0. With the two wins, Brookdale improves to 28-18 overall, and 16-9 in Region 19.

Lincroft, NJ - Brookdale Community College baseball swept the Union County College Owls, 10-1, 7-0. With the two wins, Brookdale improves to 28-18 overall, and 16-9 in Region 19.
Freshman winning pitcher, Jared Terefenko, finished the seven innings with seven strikeouts, allowed only one earned run, and improved his season record to 2-1. At the plate, sophomore DH, Janai Vaughan, went 2-4, adding his 3rd homer of the season and two RBI's on the day. Freshman first baseman, John Wade, pulled two doubles for two RBI's in the first game win.
The Jersey Blues took the second game, 7-0, with freshman, Briant Bazydlo (3-1), shutting out the Owls for all seven innings pitched, with seven stikeouts. Freshman center fielder, Christian Bauman, hit his 8th homer of the year, while posting a triple and a stolen base. John Wade added a third homerun and two RBI's to his stats, and freshman left fielder, Larry Citrola, went 2-3, hit a double, stole a base, and helped the 7-0 win with two RBI's.
The Jersey Blues will stay home to welcome the Montgomery County Community College (PA) Mustangs on Wednesday, May 4th, with a 3:30pm start time.
