Brookdale Baseball Splits With The Mighty Oaks
Penns Grove, NJ - Brookdale baseball continued their three game series with the the Mighty Oaks of Salem Community College well into the evening in a 13-7, 9-7 split double-header.

Penns Grove, NJ - Brookdale baseball continued their three game series with the the Mighty Oaks of Salem Community College well into the evening in a 13-7, 9-7 split double-header.
Freshman, Briant Bazydlo (2-1), earned the win for the Blues in game one, with his three pitched innings and four strikeouts. Freshman right fielder, Alex Ungar, had a massive seven RBI deposit, hitting 3-3, including a homer, a double, and two stolen bases. Other RBI's in the 13-7 win were produced from sophomore second baseman, Matthew Granato, batting 3-4 with a homerun and two stolen bases. Freshman first baseman, John Scrivanic, added two RBI's with a double, and third baseman, Nicholas Papageorge, went 3-4 to bring home an RBI.
The second game for the Blues did not go as smooth. The Blues had a 7-2 lead in the 4th inning, but the 5th brought errors, and the Mighty Oaks capitalized. Freshman DH, John Wade, drove in three RBI's, and Alex Ungar added one for his 8th on the day, and Nicholas Papageorge helped with an RBI as well. Both Matthew Granato and freshman center fielder, Christian Bauman, each had a double, while Granato grabbed two more stolen bases, four in the DH, in the loss.
The Blues (22-11) will be home to welcome the Middlesex College Blue Colts on Friday, April 15th, at 3:30pm.
