Brookdale's Five Mighty Home Runs Help Surpass Salem
Lincroft, NJ - The Jersey Blues baseball squad got off to a slow 0-4 start in their conference match-up with the Salem Community College Mighty Oaks, until the bottom of the 4th inning when the Brookdale's bats got mighty, outscoring Salem, 14-4.

Lincroft, NJ - The Jersey Blues baseball squad got off to a slow 0-4 start in their conference match-up with the Salem Community College Mighty Oaks, until the bottom of the 4th inning when Brookdale's bats got mighty, outscoring Salem, 14-4.
The Blues pounded in nine RBI's off of five home runs in the 4th and 7th innings. Four of the home runs were 2-run blasts and were credited to sophomore 2nd baseman, Matthew Granato, freshman right fielder, Alex Ungar, freshman 1st baseman, John Scrivanic, and freshman catcher, Darius Troche. Freshman shortstop, Joseph Lomangino, crushed a homer in the 7th, adding a stolen base, and freshman center fielder, Christian Bauman, cranked a two-run double. Freshman pitcher, Ryan Lasko (2-0), earned the win in relief.
Brookdale (21-10) continues their 3-game series in a double-header on the road against the Salem Mighty Oaks on Wednesday, April 13th, beginning at 3:30pm.
