Brookdale Baseball Spears The Suffolk CC Sharks In Double Header Wins

Lincroft, NJ - No attacks on the Brookdale Jersey Blues as they speared the Suffolk Community College Sharks in two wins, 14-7, 8-4. Sophomore pitcher, Bryan Bernard (4-1), threw a heated six innings for six strikeouts to take the win in game one. 

Freshman center fielder, Christian Bauman, planted two doubles for three RBI's, and had two stolen bases. Freshman infielder, Marcus Johnson, created two RBI's, a double, and advanced on a stolen base, while freshman, Dominic Granata, also contributed a double with two RBI's. Adding to the RBI list were freshman, Shawn O'Hea, and sac fly hitters, first baseman, John Scrivanic, and catcher, Darius Troche. 

In the 8-4, game-two win, freshman first baseman, John Wade, posted a homerun, a double, and a sac fly for four RBI's. Freshman right fielder, Alex Ungar, added a double for his two RBI's, and a stolen base, and Darius Troche chalked up an RBI as well. Freshman, Larry Citrola (2-1), allowed only two hits in his winning four inning appearance for the Blues.

Brookdale (20-10), will appear at home for their make-up game against the Mighty Oaks of Salem Community College on Tuesday, April 12th, at 3:30pm.
