Mays Landing, NJ - The Blues picked up right where they left off on Friday, as they beat the Buccaneers on their turf, 19-1,19-6, to complete their 3-game series. The Blues had to travel to Atlantic Cape on Sunday as well to finish their series as the game was halted due to weather.

Mays Landing, NJ - The Blues picked up right where they left off on Friday, as they beat the Buccaneers on their turf, 19-1,19-6, to complete their 3-game series. The Blues had to travel to Atlantic Cape on Sunday as well to finish their series as the game was halted due to weather.
In the 19-1 win, starting freshman left-handed pitcher, Briant Bazydlo, grabbed his first win of the year with five strikeouts, allowing just one hit. Freshman first baseman, John Scrivanic, and third baseman, Nicholas Papageorge, combined for seven RBI's with their homeruns, and centerfielder, Christian Bauman, chipped in another three RBI's off of his triple, then added a run. Freshman DH, John Wade, went 2-2, had three runs, and built on three RBI's as well.
The game two win was led by freshman infielder, Marcus Johnson, who was hot at the plate, 3-5, totaling two runs, and five RBI's off of his homerun, triple, and sac fly. Johnson was followed by sophomore second baseman, Matthew Granato, who earned three hits off his six at-bats, attaching two runs, four RBI's, and had three stolen bases on the day. Freshman centerfielder, Christian Bauman, went 2-5, knocking in four RBI's with a double, a sac fly, and added a run. Freshman first baseman, John Scrivanic, hit his 11th homerun (3 in the series), and posted two runs and two RBI's.
Brookdale (16-7) remains on the road to play the Mercer County Community College Vikings on Wednesday, March 30th @ 3:00pm.
