Brookdale Baseball Wins First Two Games In Florida

Leesburg, FL - Brookdale baseball took two games from the Kirkwood Community College Eagles, 9-4, and 4-3, in the opening series of their 12 Florida games.

Winning freshman pitcher, Brendan Williams (3-0), threw for six innings and struck out six in game one. Freshman first baseman, John Scrivanic, hit 2-3, belting a home run, and a double, for two runs and four RBI's. Freshman DH, Joseph Lomangino, went 2-4, with one run and had two RBI's, while freshman infielder, Marcus Johnson, grabbed a 2-4 at bats as well, tallying two runs, and a double. 

In game two, freshman pitcher, Ryan Lasko (1-0), earned the win for Brookdale in their tight, 4-3 win. John Scrivanic came through with his bat again, going 1-3, with one run, and one RBI. Freshman catcher, Darius Troche, also hit 1-3, including a homerun, and adding a run and an RBI. Infielder, Marcus Johnson, continued his contributions with a 1-3 at bats with a run, and freshman centerfielder, Christian Bauman, built on a run with his 1-2.

The Blues will play the Itasca Community College Vikings (MN) in their next double header on Monday, March 14th.
