Lincroft, NJ - The Jersey Blues completed their 3-game series with the Bergen Community College Bulldogs with a double-header split, 6-5, 6-5.
On the mound, winning freshman relief pitcher, Bryan Bernard, snatched his second win (2-0) of the season for the Blues. Sophomore second baseman, Matthew Granato, smacked a home run, adding two RBI's and a sacrifice fly on his 1-3 at bats. Freshman catcher, Darius Troche, also went 1-3 including his double to bring home two RBI's. Freshman right-fielder, Alex Ungar, went 2-3 and contributed an RBI as well for the win.
In the 6-5 loss in game two, Matthew Granato, hit 1-4, chalking up a double and put a run on the board. Freshman centerfielder, Christian Bauman, donated a double on his 1-3 day, pulling in a run, and sophomore infielder, Danny Santana, connected for a hit with two RBI's.
Brookdale will play a 14-inning double header at home against the Rockland Community College Hawks, on Sunday, March 6th, at 12pm.
