Hitting a few balls for the Blues was infielder Matt Granato who got things going with his 4-5 display against the Colts. Granato posted a double and tacked on two RBI's. Right fielder John Scrivanic snagged his first homerun, had a walk, created two runs, and had two RBI's with his 2-3 run at the plate. Adding to the RBI list was second baseman Giuseppe Arcuri who had a single and a well-played walk and sac fly.
The Jersey Blues received strong starting pitching, getting seven innings from Ryan O'Hara (4-0) in game two, allowing only six hits with seven strikeouts. Offensively, centerfielder Christian Bauman sparked the Blues with his triple and sacrifice fly to create the only two RBI's for the tight win. Infielder Matt Granato continued his streak, hitting 2-3 with a run and hitting 31-59 on the year overall. Third baseman Robert Zega also had a timely single and walk for a run.
The Blues will look to get back onto their winning streak as they travel to Mighty Oaks country at Salem Community College on Wednesday, April 28th, for a 3:30pm start.
