Mays Landing, NJ - The Atlantic Cape Community College Buccaneers were conquered by the Jersey Blues baseball team, 9-3, in GSAC play. Freshman LHP, Bryan Bernard (1-0), tossed for six innings, allowing two hits, two runs, and 10 strikeouts.
At bat, sophomore, Matt Granato (.500 avg), went 4-5 with 3 runs, two RBI's, and a stolen base. Freshman catcher, Trevor Brey, smacked two doubles for the Blues, as freshman shortstop, Anthony Brienza hit 3-4 on the day. Brienza totaled a double, three RBI's, and a stolen base.
Brookdale improves their overall record to 9-1, 5-1 in the conference. The team returns to action at home on Friday, April 9th, @ 3:30pm to face the Atlantic Cape Buccaneers once again.
