Brookdale Baseball Tops RCSJ Gloucester In 12-10 Win
Lincroft, NJ - The Jersey Blues finished strong in their battle with the RCSJ-Gloucester Roadrunners, winning 12-10 in GSAC play.

Lincroft, NJ - The Jersey Blues finished strong in their battle with the RCSJ-Gloucester Roadrunners, winning 12-10 in GSAC play. Winning pitcher, sophomore Matt Pickus (3-0), remained on the mound for 5.1 innings and allowed only six hits. Freshman LHP, James LaBruno, was awarded the save in relief.
Freshman outfielder, Christian Bauman, continued his success at the plate with three runs, a triple, a home run, tallying three RBI's, as freshman shortstop, Anthony Brienza (.750 batting avg.), went 4-5, with two runs and two steals. Sophomore first baseman, Ryan Gilmore, added two doubles while pulling in two RBI's. Freshman second baseman, Giuseppe Arcuri, hit 2-3, including a homerun and contributed a big four RBI's for the win.
The Blues will travel to play the Atlantic Cape Community College Buccaneers on Wednesday, April 7th, at 3:30pm.
