Brookdale Baseball Splits With Bergen Bulldogs
Lincroft, NJ - The Brookdale Jersey Blues hosted the Bergen Community College Bulldogs for a double header on Saturday while splitting the results.

Lincroft, NJ - The Brookdale Jersey Blues hosted the Bergen Community College Bulldogs for a double header on Saturday while splitting the results. The Blues took a loss in game one with a 0-3 final. In game two, the Blues bounced back and dominated with an 11-4 finish.
In game two, freshman right-handed pitcher, John Luberto, hurled four strikeouts in four innings for his first win on the hill. Sophomore Matt Granato was strong at the plate hitting 2-2, earning three runs with a single, double, and two stolen bases. Adding to the hit stats was freshman outfielder Christian Bauman who swung .500, including a double, to bring in three RBI's.
Second year first baseman, Ryan Gilmore increased his batting average to .536 by hitting 3-3, with a double, and 2 RBI's. Freshman second baseman Danny Santana blasted his second home run of the year which brought in two RBI's for the Blues win.
Next up for the Jersey Blues, 7-1, they will host the RCSJ-Gloucester Roadrunners on Tuesday, April 6th, at 3:30pm.
