Vineland, NJ - The Brookdale baseball team battled it out in the Region XIX tournament but fell in the championship game against the Roadrunners of Rowan College at Gloucester County, 7-1.
On the offensive, sophomore infielder Ben Porpora smashed a home run while freshman second baseman Matt Granato went 2-4 at the plate and stole one base.
The team fnisishes out the 2019 season with an overall record of 36-17.
