Lincroft, NJ- The Brookdale baseball team downed the Cougars of Camden County College 12-10. The score flipped each inning but the Blues bats stayed hot to notch the win.
Sophomore shortstop Cole Fluta went 3-4 at the plate. Fluta scored two runs and knocked in three RBI's as sophomore left-fielder Cole Hardy collected one double and one RBI. Freshman infielder Nicholas Carnevale connected twice for two doubles and two RBI's.
Freshman right-handed pitcher Justin Tucker recorded the win in relief. Tucker threw for four innings and posted four strikeouts while freshman left-handed pitcher James Wynne earned the save.
The team improves their overall record to 26-11. Brookdale will travel down to Camden County College on Saturday, April 21st for a two-game series beginning at noon.
