Sewell, NJ- The Jersey Blues baseball team finished out the 2017 season with an overall record of 34-24.
In the final-four of the Region XIX tournament, Brookdale fell to the Dukes of Cumberland in game one, 7-6. Sophomore third baseman Mike Russell and freshman designated hitter Trevor Romeo knocked in a total of five RBI's.
In game two, the Blues were edged by the Roadrunners of Rowan College at Gloucester County, 8-7. With the loss, the team was knocked out of the region tournament.
At bat, sophomore right-fielder Nick Martinez, sophomore third baseman Mike Russell, sophomore left-fielder Joe Rotelli and sophomore first baseman Jake Buser all recorded home-runs in the nine-inning game.
