Lincroft, NJ- The Brookdale baseball team suffered a tough defeat to the Vikings of Ocean County College, 7-6.
The Jersey Blues took an early 4-0 lead and let the Vikings back into the game in the top of the fifth. Sophomore second baseman Joey Tesoriero tallied one double and one RBI as sophomore first baseman Jake Buser knocked in two runs and posted one double. Sophomore left-fielder Joe Rotelli ripped a home-run and drove in one run.
Sophomore right-handed pitcher Ryan Orender hurled for four innings and recorded four strikeouts.
The team will return to action on the road on Saturday, April 29th to face the Vikings of Ocean County College for a two-game series beginning at noon.
