Mays Landing, NJ- The Brookdale baseball team split with the Buccaneers of Atlantic Cape Community College in Region XIX action.
The Jersey Blues took game one, 11-6. Sophomore right-handed pitcher Kyle Fenton tossed the complete game and earned his fifth win from the mound. Fenton struck out three batters. Sophomore center-fielder Mike Santaromita tallied three runs, two doubles and two RBI's while sophomore right-fielder Nick Martinez posted one home-run, three scored runs, two doubles and three RBI's.
Sophomore third baseman Mike Russell also smacked a home-run and knocked in two runs as freshman outfielder Marco Meleo connected three times for two doubles.
In game two, Brookdale was edged 7-6.
The team will next travel down to Camden County College on Friday, April 21st for a single nine inning game beginning at 3:30pm
