Lincroft, NJ- The Jersey Blues baseball team split with University of Connecticut at Avery Point, earning a victory in game one, 12-11 and falling in game two, 6-3.
Sophomore second baseman Joey Tesoriero connected three times at bat for one double, one stolen base, three RBI's and two scored runs as sophomore left-fielder Nick Martinez smashed his fifth home run of the season and knocked in one RBI for the win.
Sophomore first baseman Jake Buser collected three hits and one RBI while sophomore center-fielder Mike Santaromita posted one double and one scored run. Freshman catcher Michael Chiusano added two hits and one RBI.
Brookdale will next take on the Owls of Union County College in a single nine inning game on Monday, April 10th at 2:30pm.
