Sophomore Left-Handed Pitcher Andrew Cimmino Collects Win In Relief; Baseball Grabs Three Wins

Auburndale, FL- Sophomore right-handed pitcher Andrew Schulz collected six strikeouts as the Brookdale baseball team dominated play against the Canadian National Team in game one, 14-3. 

In game two and three, the Jersey Blues swept the Knights of Northern Essex Community College, 6-1 and 7-4 respectively.

Freshman right-handed pitcher Brandon Devovics hurled the seven inning second game and tallied nine strikeouts and six hits. Sophomore first baseman Jake Buser posted one home-run, one double and two RBI's as sophomore outfielder Mike Russell contributed one double and two RBI's.

Freshman Tito Morales pitched for five innings in game three and notched two strikeouts and six hits. Sophomore left-handed pitcher Andrew Cimmino collected the win in relief and sophomore pitcher Pat Knight recorded the save.

Freshman shortstop Cole Fluta added two hits and two RBI's as freshman third baseman Trevor Romeo pinched hit in the 6th inning and brought in one run.

After the three wins, the team improves their overall record to 8-1. Brookdale will return to action on Wednesday, March 15th against Rowan College at Burlington County for a doubleheader.
