Lake Bonny, FL- The Brookdale baseball team overwhelmed the Terriers of St. France College in two games. Sophomore outfielder Mike Russell tallied five hits for two doubles and seven RBI's.
In game one, the Blues defeated the Terriers, 10-2. Sophomore left-handed pitcher Pat Knight hurled from the mound for five innings and collected five strikeouts, one hit and one run scored. Freshman third baseman Trevor Romeo crushed a home-run and knocked in three runs.
In game two, Brookdale turned up the heat and blanked St. Francis, 10-0. Freshman right-handed pitcher Anthony Ratti tossed for the win while sophomore center-fielder Mike Santaromita notched two hits and scored two runs. Sophomore outfielder Elvis Clime recorded two hits for one triple and two scored runs.
The team improves their overall record to 4-0 and will return to action on Monday, March 13th for a doubleheader against St. Cloud Technical & Community College.
