Russ Matt, FL- Freshman outfielder Nick Martinez led the Blues to victory in game one over the Cyclones of Moraine Valley Community College, 13-3. Martinez recorded three doubles, two RBI's and one stolen base.
Sophomore first baseman Joseph Sadler tallied one double and two RBI's while freshman outfielder Jomar DeJesus knocked in one run.
In game two, the Blues fell 6-5 in the top of the sixth inning. Freshman designated hitter Jake Buser ripped a home run and knocked in one RBI while freshman catcher Agustin Espinal posted one double.
The team will next face Utica College and Calvin College on Friday, March 18th.
