Russ Matt, FL- The Brookdale baseball team swept the Vikings of Itasca Community College, 5-1 and 11-0. In game one, sophomore right-handed pitcher Joe DeCelie controlled the game from the mound, striking out nine batters and giving up three hits and one run.

Sophomore shortstop Alfredo Molina Jr. knocked out one double and drove in one run while freshman third baseman Ryan Orender tallied one home run and one RBI.
In game two, Brookdale stayed in control. Freshman right-handed pitcher Michael Russell hurled five innings for eight strikeouts.
At bat, freshman outfielder Jomar DeJesus recorded three hits and two RBI's. Orender smashed another home run and knocked in two more runs for the Blues. Freshman outfielder Nick Martinez contributed two hits.
The team improves their overall record to 4-2.
