Russ Matt, FL- The Jersey Blues baseball team topped the Knights of Northern Essex Community College in game two of the doubleheader, 4-3. Sophomore pitcher JR Hilcher tossed for seven innings, struck out four batters and allowed seven hits.

Russ Matt, FL- The Jersey Blues baseball team topped the Knights of Northern Essex Community College in game two of the doubleheader, 4-3. Sophomore pitcher JR Hilcher tossed for seven innings, struck out four batters and allowed seven hits.
Freshman center-fielder Mike Santamarita connected twice from the plate and drove in two runs.
In game one, Brookdale fell, 14-8 to the Knights. Sophomore first baseman Joseph Sadler went 3-3 at bat. Sadler tallied four scored runs, one double and two RBI's. Sophomore catcher Nicholas Blaney recorded one double and one RBI.
The Blues improve their overall record to 2-2 and will return to the field on Tuesday, March 15th against Itasca Community College.
