Mays Landing, NJ- The Brookdale baseball team overpowered the Buccaneers of Atlantic Cape Community College, 3-2 and 7-1. In game one, freshman first baseman Joe Sadler recorded the go ahead RBI in the seventh inning for the win.

Freshman pitcher Jimmy Rodriguez tossed for six innings, striking out four batters and allowing only three hits. Sophomore reliever Justin Harnett earned the win, pitching the last inning. Harnett registered two strikeouts. Sophomore third baseman Tim Carney tallied one hit and one RBI.
In game two, freshman pitcher Frank Dente threw for the win. Dente tallied six strikeouts, one hit and one scored run. At bat, sophomore shortstop Spencer Young collected two hits and one RBI while freshman catcher Joel Rivera crushed a three-run homer.
The team returns to action on the road at Northampton Community College on Sunday, April 26th for a doubleheader.
