Baseball Sweeps Union Owls In GSAC Match-Up
Lincroft, NJ- The Brookdale baseball team swept the Owls of Union County College, 7-6 and 6-1. In game one, sophomore second baseman Jon Baturgil hit a walk off single in the bottom of the seventh inning, driving in the winning run for the Jersey Blues.

Lincroft, NJ- The Brookdale baseball team swept the Owls of Union County College, 7-6 and 6-1. In game one, sophomore second baseman Jon Baturgil hit a walk off single in the bottom of the seventh inning, driving in the winning run for the Jersey Blues. Baturgil registered three hits and three RBI's for the game.
Freshman first baseman Joe Sadler went 3-3 from the plate, recording two doubles and one RBI.
In game two, sophomore shortstop Spencer Young collected two hits and one scored run. Sadler posted one hit and one RBI while sophomore pitcher Mike Imperato hurled the seven inning victory. Imperato collected eight strikeouts and two hits.
The team improves their overall record to, 21-15 and 7-5 in conference play. Brookdale returns to action on the road at Atlantic Cape Community College for a doubleheader on Saturday, April 25th.
