Baseball Downs Camden Cougars In Conference Match-Up
Blackwood NJ- The Brookdale baseball team swept the Cougars of Camden County College, 3-2 and 9-0. In game one, sophomore pitcher Chris Marte threw for the win, striking out eight batters and allowing seven scattered hits. Freshman catcher Joel Rivera recorded one double and one scored run.

In game two, sophomore third baseman Tim Carney smashed a three-run homer while freshman second baseman Jon Baturgil contributed one hit and 2 RBI's. Sophomore outfielder Harold Hester tallied a double and 2 RBI's.
Sophomore pitcher Nick Panduri tossed for the seven inning shutout. Panduri tallied six strikeouts.
Brookdale improves their overall record to 16-15. The team returns to action at home against Valley Forge Military College on Sunday, April 19th.
