Red Bank, NJ- The Brookdale baseball team blanked the Centurions of Bucks County Community College, 27-0 and 15-0. In game one, four pitchers combined to throw a perfect game; sophomore Mike Pepio, freshman Frank Dente, sophomore Mike Imperato and freshman Jimmy Rodriguez.
Freshman catcher Joel Rivera smacked one homerun and two doubles. Rivera also drove in five runs. Sophomore third baseman Tim Carney collected two doubles, one triple and three RBI's while sophomore outfielder Harold Hester posted a double and RBI.
Sophomore outfielder Nico Giaimo, sophomore shortstop Spencer Young, freshman first baseman Joe Sadler, sophomore second baseman Jon Baturgil, freshman outfielder Alex Cameron, and sophomore outfielder Daniel Tuma each knocked in runs for the Jersey Blues.
In game two, six pitchers threw for the second shutout of the day; freshman Jon Dilluvio, sophomore Joe Purcaro, freshman John Monahan, freshman Michael Balboa, freshman Joe DeCelie and sophomore Aaron McCue.
The team returns to action on Monday, April 6th against the Lakewood BlueClaws.
