Tim Carney Smashes Home Run; Brookdale Tops Middlesex, 9-5
Edison, NJ- The Brookdale baseball team topped the Blue Colts of Middlesex County College, 9-5. Sophomore third baseman Tim Carney led the Jersey Blues offense with three hits. Carney recorded one home run, one double, one RBI and three scored runs.

Edison, NJ- The Brookdale baseball team topped the Blue Colts of Middlesex County College, 9-5. Sophomore third baseman Tim Carney led the Jersey Blues offense with three hits. Carney recorded one home run, one double, one RBI and three scored runs.
Freshman first baseman Joe Sadler ripped a 3-run homer in the top of the eighth inning to put Brookdale ahead. Sophomore shortstop Luis Hidalgo collected two hits and 2 RBI's.
Sophomore pitcher Chris Marte threw for the win, striking out five batters and giving up six hits. The team returns to action on Wednesday, April 1st against County College of Morris.
