Brookdale Splits With Niagara County Community College; Hidalgo Rips A Double
Winter Haven, FL- The Brookdale baseball team split with the Thunder Wolves of Niagara County Community College. In game one, the Blues downed Niagara, 7-4. Freshman pitcher Frank Dente threw for three innings, allowing just four hits and striking out two batters.

Winter Haven, FL- The Brookdale baseball team split with the Thunder Wolves of Niagara County Community College. In game one, the Blues downed Niagara, 7-4. Freshman pitcher Frank Dente threw for three innings, allowing just four hits and striking out two batters.
Sophomore pitcher Aaron McCue took over on the mound in the fourth inning. McCue recorded three strikeouts and four scattered hits. Sophomore third baseman Tim Carney led the Blues offense with two doubles and one stolen base. Sophomore short stop Luis Hidalgo and freshman first baseman Joe Sadler each ripped a double while freshman pitcher Tyler Folger collected an RBI.
In game two, Brookdale fell to the Thunder Wolves, 10-3. Sophomore Tim Carney proved once again to be a tough out at the plate, launching a home run. Carney also drove in Brookdale's three runs.
The team returns to the diamond on Thursday, March 19th against Century College.
