In his two-year stint as a Jersey Blue, Durik accumulated many accomplishments, notably team captain, chosen for All-American, All-Region, and All-GSAC teams. He was also a member of the 1997 World Series team coached by former head coach, Paul MacLaughlin. In addition to his impressive accolade list, Durik, continued his baseball career on scholarship to NCAA DI Georgia Southern University.
"My time at Brookdale taught me so much. While I was there, I learned the importance of balancing the classroom with athletics. I am eternally grateful to have met some of the best friends and teammates a person could ever ask for. Thanks to my beginnings at Brookdale, I've been able to create a runway of meaningful business traits that I've transferred into my professional career.
The importance of teamwork, accountability, performing under pressure and having fun, are always within my mindset when I'm looking to build a high powered sales organization, or team. I was in corporate America for 23 years where I held multiple Director and VP level leadership roles for several organizations, including (Johnson Controls, Aalberts IPS and recently Merit).
Currently, I own three Jersey Mike's Subs shops in Texas and I'm looking to expand my ownership footprint to ten. I'm grateful for Brookdale, and all of the early life lessons I was able to transfer into my everyday life and career."
