"I attended Rowan University my first semester of college and I was completely lost, and felt I couldn't reach out to anyone for help. I was struggling academically, and I was not sure if Business major was the right choice for me. Transferring to Brookdale, I was able to really focus on what I wanted to pursue a career in and felt more confident in myself. The staff at Brookdale were amazing! They really care about the students and will go out of their way to help them succeed in the classroom.
Playing baseball at Brookdale made me more accountable for myself. The coaches aren't full-time, so during the off-season, it was on the team to go out of their way to practice and be ready for the season. JUCO baseball made me look at the game differently. I think junior college athletics do not get the credit of talent they should. In my sophomore year, most of our team were transfer students coming from Division I, II, and III schools. One thing that I admired about playing baseball at Brookdale is that no one cared where you came from. It's all about the guys we have on the roster and what we can collectively accomplish as a team. I want to thank Coach Johnson for pushing me to be the best I could be and helping me with my next chapter for baseball and school. Now, as a student-athlete at Stockton University, I am grateful for attending Brookdale. I was able to focus on school while playing the game I love and not struggle in the process. Brookdale is a great option for students who are not sure about what they want to do in their career. If I didn't have the experience I had at Brookdale, I wouldn't be where I am today."
