Blackwood, NJ - Jersey Blues softball picked up another pair of wins in conference play as they defeated the Camden County College Cougars on the road, 9-0, 8-0. The Blues are currently 27-7 overall, 15-1 in Region 19, and 11-1 in the Garden State Athletic Conference (GSAC).

Blackwood, NJ - Jersey Blues softball picked up another pair of wins in conference play as they defeated the Camden County College Cougars on the road, 9-0, 8-0. The Blues are currently 27-7 overall, 15-1 in Region 19, and 11-1 in the Garden State Athletic Conference (GSAC).
In the first game, sophomore pitcher, Gianna Praet (14-3), produced a 2-hit shutout with four strikeouts. Freshman catcher, Sydney Rawlings, went 3-for-3 with a double and two singles for four RBI's. Sophomore flex player, Nicolette Pavlik, clobbered a 2-run homer in the 1st inning, her 4th.
The Blues had their 2nd pitching shutout as freshman, Mallory Shevlin, struckout 12 batters and allowed just five hits. Sophomore third baseman, Zoey Hagan, batted 3-for-4, including a three-run homer in the third innining, her third homer on the year. Hagan also added an RBI single in the first inning. Sophomore center fielder, Alyssa Sigler, posted 2-for-3 at bats for three runs scored and stole two bases, as sophomore first baseman, Kelli Tuttle, batted 2-for-2 in the win.
Brookdale hosts the DII Raritan Valley Community College Lions for a doubleheader on Friday, April 28th, beginning at 3:00pm.
