Brookdale Softball Comes Back Strong To Split With DII Lackawanna
Lincroft, NJ - The Brookdale women's softball team came back strong after their first, 11-5, loss to the DII Lackawanna College Falcons, to win the second game, 13-4.

Lincroft, NJ - The Brookdale women's softball team came back strong after their first, 11-5, loss to the DII Lackawanna College Falcons, to win the second game, 13-4.
In the first game loss, freshman pitcher, Mallory Shevlin, blasted a solo home run as sophomore third baseman, Nicolette Pavlik, knocked in a two-run double. Sophomore center fielder, Alyssa Sigler, and sophomore shortstop, Gianna Praet, both went 2-4. Pitcher, Mallory Shevlin (3-2), posted an incredible 15 strikeouts in the losing cause.
Game two proved to be different with big bats from freshman catcher, Sydney Rawlings, and right fielder, Mallory Shevlin, as both went 3-for-3 with three RBI's a piece. Sophomore left fielder, Madison Parrish, pounded in another two RBI's from her 2-for-3 at bats, and shortstop, Nicolette Pavlik, built on an RBI from her 2-for-4 chances at the plate. Sophomore winning pitcher, Gianna Praet, earned her 4th win with six strikeouts.
The 7-3 Blues will take a short trip to Ocean County College to challenge the Vikings on Tuesday, April 4th, beginning at 4:00pm.
