Lincroft, NJ - The newly NJCAA #5 ranked Brookdale softball team displayed their gritty play against the Division I Harford Community College Fighting Owls in a 6-5, 10-4 split that pushed to sundown.

Lincroft, NJ - The newly NJCAA #5 ranked Brookdale (15-5) softball team displayed their gritty play against the Division I, Harford Community College Fighting Owls, in a 6-5, 10-4, split that pushed to sundown.
In game one, The Blues were down 4-0 in the bottom of the 4th, then fought the Owls back, tying up the game in the bottom of the 6th, 5-5. The Jersey Blues knocked the Fighting Owls into extra innings, but unfortunately lost the battle in the 8th, 6-5. Freshman left fielder, Madison Parrish, hit 3-4, producing two RBI's, and freshman first baseman, Adriana Noterile, notched a two-run homer in the tough loss.
Madison Parrish once again, came through huge in game two with her 3-3 at bats, two doubles, and an RBI, totaling six hits on the day. Freshman catcher, Zoey Hagan, was another 3-3 force hitter which included a triple-double for an RBI. Freshman catcher, Alyssa Sigler, summed up five hits in the double-header, generating 3-4 hits to bring home an RBI. Freshman, Charlotte Piper, was titled as the winning pitcher with her six strong strikeouts in the 10-4, five-inning victory.
Brookdale's next few games are on the road which begins with the RCSJ-Gloucester Roadrunners on Thursday, April 14th, at 3:30pm.
